Registration

CTS does not publish an official registration schedule. Students are permitted to register during the initial class meeting. An enrollment form is provided to accomplish the registration process. You may also register for classes on our website.

Official Correspondence

The completed enrollment form should contain the student’s official address and telephone number(s).  All necessary correspondence will be made via telephone or email.  Therefore, it is important that the students keep their email and telephone number(s)  up to date.

Tuition

All classes at CTS are offered for the flat fee of $50.00. However, we do not burden the student to pay this fee if he or she is not  financially able to do so when classes begin. Our grace policy places the student on the honor system allowing him/her to pay for their courses prior to the fourth scheduled class meeting. Students that have not paid for classes by the fourth class meeting will be dropped from the class.

Audits

Only students who officially have registered as such may audit a course. Audit students must pay the same course fee as other courses for credit. Audits are disallowed in courses that a student will later take for credit. Audit students do not qualify for graduation certificates.

Class Attendance

Class attendance is an important part of the academic process and is a privilege and not a right. The professor of the course has the right to dismiss any disruptive student during any class session. Absences should be taken only for necessary reasons.

Absences

Each professor will establish the attendance requirements for his or her own courses. CTS recognizes the fact that hectic schedules are a fact of life for many students. However, tardiness should be kept to an absolute minimum. Any student that misses four classes for non-emergency reasons will be dropped from the class.

Cumulative G.P.A. requirement for satisfactory progress.

All students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 on a 4.0scale.

Low Cumulative G.P.A.

Students whose cumulative GPA falls below 2.0 will be placed on academic probation for the next semester. A student will remain on probation as long as his/her GPA is between 1.5 and 2.0. A student who continues on probation for more than three consecutive semesters or whose GPA falls below 1.5 may be dismissed from the seminary for academic cause

Failed Courses

Students who fail a course in any term will be contacted in writing concerning their performance with a copy to the school president. Students who fail the same course a second time will be subject to dismissal

Late Exams

All exams must be completed as scheduled.Appropriate exceptions are made in case of illness or other personal emergencies. The professor of the course will determine any penalties for late exams.

Class Visitors

Visitors may attend a maximum of one class per course per semester. Exceptions to this will be determined by each professor. Visitors should be introduced to the professor before the class session begins.

Library

The mission of CTS is to provide all forms

of recorded information in fields germane to

the Seminary’s goal of preparing men and

women for ministry as godly servant-leaders

in the body of Christ worldwide, and to

make such information available to the

students, staff, and alumni of CTS.  Our

library is currently limited in resources and

hours.  Therefore, usage must of necessity

be limited to hours opened for classes, or

arranged with the professors for other

            periods.

Accreditation

Accreditation is a review of the quality of higher education institutions and programs. In the United States, accreditation is a major way that students, families, government officials, and the press know that an institution provides a quality education. CTS has not applied to any accrediting organization for accreditation.

The primary goal and purpose of CTS is to train men and women to communicate and teach the Word of God. We believe that all believers should have access to a thorough theological education without consideration of economic means. Our goal is to educate fully any believer in the great truths of Systematic Theology, to train him in the techniques of expository teaching, to have him understand the importance of going to the original languages to insure accuracy, and finally, to interpret all doctrines in the light of the dispensational reality of God’s plan. Our Bible Institute is designed to train the believers of all ages in the doctrines of faith and the dynamics of living by that faith

Life Experience Credit

A general guideline for life credit should be 3 credit hours per year of full time ministry and 2 per year for part time ministry. A maximum of 30 semester credit hours of life credit is acceptable for the undergraduate level. A maximum of 9 semester credit hours of life credit is acceptable for the graduate level.

If a student is transferring credit and receiving life credit in a bachelor’s program, the student will still be required to complete 30 semester hours in the degree program, even if his previous education exceeds the total number of hours required.

Even though secular degrees may be acceptable for entering the next level program, secular transfer credits should be limited. A student who is receiving a Biblical degree should be properly educated in Biblical studies.
